Ngamba Chimps Eating

The Ngamba Chimpanzee Santuary provides shelter for orphaned chimps (mostly orphaned when poaching was more prevalent in Uganda). Here is a video of  chimps during feeding time.

Kibale Chimps Eating

After seeing the chimps in "captivity" at the Ngamba Santuary, it was completely different experience seeing them in the wild. Way up in the trees. They've been known to come down and hang out with humans, but it was raining so they stayed up in the trees.

It was really cool to see the chimps travelling along the tree tops, especially since we were right below them.

Lion Walking

Early in the morning, on our way to trek for more chimps, there was a group of lions just relaxing.

Elephant Herd

After the cool encounter with the lion, we ran into a herd of elephants. It has just rained and the morning light was really nice (it was about 7am).
